Spotlighting Women’s Health

The Sustainability Task Force at IIM Bangalore organised an engaging and interactive session on ‘Women’s Health: Safe & Sustainable Management’, on 13th December, at the campus auditorium. The discussion on eco-friendly, economical, comfortable and convenient options for period care was led by Ms Smita Kulkarni, Environmentalist & Entrepreneur, and Dr Meenakshi Bharath, Gynaecologist & Green Warrior. Professor Haritha Saranga, Chairperson of the Sustainability Task Force and faculty in the Production & Operations Management area at IIMB, welcomed the speakers and set the context for the discussion with a presentation on sustainable initiatives taken by the IIMB community. Over 100 women, from among faculty, staff and students, attended the discussion and participated in the Q&A that followed.
