16 February 2017, Bengaluru: The Centre for Public Policy (CPP) of IIM Bangalore, in partnership with the Public Policy Club, will be hosting a panel discussion on the year-long implications of the Union Budget 2017, on February 19 (Sunday), 2017, from 10:15 am to 11:45 am, at the campus.
The panel discussion will feature three stalwarts from the industry, society and government sharing their perspectives on the Union Budget 2017. The distinguished panellists are Shekar Viswanathan, Vice Chairman & Whole-time Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motors Ltd; Dr. M. Govinda Rao, Emeritus Professor, National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, and Dr. Rajeev Gowda, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha and former professor, IIM Bangalore. Professor Rupa Chanda from the Economics & Social Sciences area of IIMB, who is also the RBI Chair Professor in Economics, will be moderating the session.
The panel will also evaluate submissions from the Public Policy Club’s essay writing competition – ‘Catalyzta’. The announcement of the name of the winners as well as their awards would be made at the end of the discussion.
