22 June, 2019: The Data Centre and Analytics Lab (DCAL) at IIM Bangalore, led by Prof. U Dinesh Kumar, organized the Ninth Business Analytics & Intelligence Symposium on 21-22 June at IIMB. As a part of the program, a two-day workshop was held on ‘Machine Learning using Python’ and ‘Deep Learning’ conducted by Manaranjan Pradhan and Naveen Kumar Bhansali, respectively. Both spoke about how Machine and Deep Learning could be used to solve real-world problems by helping the participants with a hands-on approach to understand the application of Machine and Deep Learning algorithms. Naveen shed light on various use-cases across the industry—fraud analytics, sediment analysis, and preventive maintenance. He also shared knowledge of tools and technologies such as TensorFlow, Keras, and how to build state-of-the-art models.
