NSRCEL at IIMB hosts special edition of 4Startups in association with ‘Drishti 2018’ At the Open Day celebrated on February 11, incubatees at IIMB’s innovation hub showcased their products and services

13 February, 2018, Bengaluru: The entrepreneurship and innovation hub of IIM Bangalore – N. S. Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL), hosted 4Startups this month in association with Drishti 2018, a visionary leadership summit and alumni event, anchored by the students of the Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM) at IIM Bangalore, held on February 11 (Sunday).

NSRCEL hosts its flagship event 4startups each month for aspiring entrepreneurs and start-ups. A big part of this special edition of 4Startups was the start-up open day, which tied back to the theme of the event. There was a start-up hub at the event, where the start-ups from NSRCEL showcased their products and services.

Raghavan Centrefor Entrepreneurial Learning, in association with Drishti 2018, a visionary leadership summit and alumni event, anchored by the students of IIMB’s Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management, held on February 11, 2018.

The mission of 4Startups was aligned to the theme of Drishti 2018 ‘Entrepreneurial Leadership – Rise of the Start-up Ecosystem in India & the Road Ahead’, which saw industry experts, new economy leaders, thought leaders, start-up founders, and entrepreneurs sharing their views on the opportunities and challenges faced by different sectors in the start-up industry and the road ahead, through panel discussions and keynote speeches.

4Startups in February saw 15 start-ups from NSRCEL setting up stalls to showcase their products and services. The services of such companies range from providing remote employment opportunities to women, playscapes for underprivileged children, healthcare services for pets, to meal plan advice for kids.

Women and social entrepreneurs were also part of the event. Backed by NITI Aayog’s Atal Innovation Mission, Goldman Sachs and Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, NSRCEL aims to promote entrepreneurship and provides the platform to its start-ups to develop their networks and businesses further.

The start-ups got a good opportunity to network with the corporate and start-up world that comprised entrepreneurs, India head of large conglomerates and potential investors. Many of them got advice and leads for business growth from those who attended the event.

The start-ups that were part of the event include:

Fabric Monde: aims to take sustainable Indian fabrics to world markets by working closely with the weavers from 13 states

Dreamsoft Innovations: is a firm working on Augmented and Virtual Reality to make learning interactive with 3D visualization and animation

Worksera: is an online freelancing platform to bring remote work opportunities to skilled women and provides a high quality talent pool to start-ups and companies to work with

LetsTagOn: is a networking and collaboration platform for volunteers to connect with a cause, organizations and other volunteers

NTalents: is a machine learning based sales skill evaluation platform, built by a team of experienced data scientists

MomSaurus: helps create happy, healthy and independent mealtimes for parents and young children

GoDesi foods: is a packaged confectionary food brand that uses regional ingredient flavours and formats directly from the farm gate

Plansform: is a professional platform for the architecture community

GoCrackit: is a personalized career advisory platform which connects students and professionals with relevant industry mentors that help them succeed in their careers with great amount of fulfillment

Shreehi: focuses on solving fertility and pregnancy related issues through NLP-based mind coaching

Anthill creations: makes playgrounds for underprivileged children

Woolly: deal with building and applying agricultural techniques like vertical farming, combined with hydroponics, data science and mobile technology to build urban farms

Giftolexia: helps children with dyslexia realize their true potential
